Managed IoT

The term Internet of Things (IoT) is everywhere, but what does it really mean?

Simply put, the IoT is the system connecting any device that can be turned on and off to the internet (and each other). This includes our everyday devices such as cell phones, tablets, laptops, PCs, wearable devices, smart appliances, temperature control, home access control, as well as devices used in business, industry, agriculture, healthcare, transportation, etc.

The IoT is made up of the following four things:

  • Things (sensors, microcontrollers, actuators, appliances, automobiles, etc.)

  • Connectivity (how the devices transmit and receive their information, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc.)

  • Software (what gives the things the ability to ‘think’ and act, which is usually not seen by the user)

  • Application (the part that gives the user control)

Correct Cable Communications can help you navigate the complicated landscape of how to manage and keep your IoT devices secure and functional. The core backbone of any IoT deployment is a robust connection to the internet and a securely managed internal network that safeguards you from outside intrusion. We also help you understand the changes IoT vendors implement that can complicate the use and function of the device or service.

Correct Cable Communications provides, installs, implements, and manages all things IoT.
